Join us for the annual Fairhaven Winterfest

Winterfest 2025:

Dates: November 29th – December 20th, 2025
Location: Historic Fairhaven Village

Winterfest is a month-long celebration of the holiday season featuring lights, music, carriage rides, Santa Claus, and community warmth.

 

Monthlong:

#ShopLocal – frequent shopper cards stamped at local businesses for weekly prize drawings

#FairhavenElves – find the Fairhaven Elves at local businesses

#FestiveFairhaven – photo contest

Letters to Santa Claus – find the mailbox to the North Pole at the Village inn

Warm Up in Fairhaven – Weekly food and beverage specials throughout the Village

 

Ways to Give Back:

During Winterfest, The Fairhaven Association is a place where you can drop off items to benefit others. Stop in and see us in Finnegan’s Alley.

Cold Weather Clothing Drive – drop off your gently worn jackets, scarves, blankets and more.

Pet Drive – shelf stable canned or dry food, bags of litter, treats and toys for furry friends.

Food Drive – Shelf stable pantry items

 

Saturday, November 29 – Light the Village

Theme: Let the Magic Begin!
Kick off Winterfest with the annual lighting of the Village and a day full of holiday cheer.

Highlights:

• Santa Claus & Elves for photos / noon – 3pm
• Horse drawn carriage rides through the Village / noon – 3pm
• Holiday Pop-up Market at Firehouse Arts and Event Center / 1pm – 6pm
• Winterfest Art Walk / 4pm – 7pm

Light the Village celebration on the Village Green / 4pm – 7pm

• Live holiday music / 4pm
• Fire dancing by Pyro Dancers LLC / 5pm
• Winterfest Warm-up in the Village Books Reading Gallery / 5:30pm – 7pm

Enjoy some hot cocoa and cider while you mingle with the performers and sponsors; don’t forget to grab your monthlong schedule and Shop Local Card

 

Saturday, December 6 – Fairhaven Flannel and Flame

Theme: Light a Fire in Your Heart

Slow down and enjoy the festive fun!

Highlights:

• Holiday Gingerbread Competition at the Bellingham Ferry Terminal / 11am – 5pm
• Santa Claus & Elves for photos / noon – 3pm
• Horse drawn carriage rides through the Village / noon – 3pm
• Live holiday music / 1pm
• Firelit Stroll through the Woods (Lake Padden Trail off Harris Ave) / 5pm – 8pm
• Live holiday music – Holiday Brass (weather dependent) / 5pm

• Winterfest Bonfire at Stones Throw Brewery / 4pm – 9pm
• Lighted Boat Parade in Bellingham Bay / 5:30pm

 

Saturday, December 13 – Spirits & Sweats Saturday

Theme: Eat, drink, and be merry!
A lively weekend for adults and families to enjoy the spirit of the season.

• Horse drawn carriage rides through the Village / noon – 3pm
• Live holiday music at Village Inn / 1pm – 3pm

Theme: Cozy up, bring your pets, and celebrate the season!
Bring out your furry friends for a fun day in Fairhaven

Dog friendly Santa and treats on hand for photos

• Horse drawn carriage rides through the Village / noon – 3pm
