President

Marissa Powell

president@enjoyfairhaven.com

As a native of Whatcom County, Marissa is grateful for the opportunity to both work and play in beautiful Fairhaven. Throughout her 10+ years at the Fairhaven Peoples Bank, where she currently serves as Branch Manager, Marissa has always had a deep appreciation for the strong sense of connection and community spirit that lives here. When she’s not working or helping with the Fairhaven Association, you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband, playing tennis and pickleball, or burying herself in a good book.

Treasurer

Sarah Woelkers-Prescott

Sarah works alongside her husband, Jason, at Fairhaven Gold. They purchased the business from the previous owner in 2020. Prior to coming to work with Jason in 2022, Sarah worked in Healthcare Supply Chain management.  Sarah is currently working towards attaining her GIA Graduate Gemologist certification in order to further enhance her family business.  She loves spending time in Fairhaven with her young son and daughter, and dog Chai. Sarah feels the Fairhaven community is very supportive and that being a member of the Board has provided an opportunity to get involved and be a more active member.

Tim Anderson

Tim moved to Bellingham in 2010 after living in San Diego for 23 years. The consistent weather of 75 and sunny got to be too much. The draw of Bellingham was more for his wife Michele who had grown up in Bellingham, gone to the local schools, and graduated from WWU. She is now in her 10th year of working there. Tim is in his 37th year of the financial services business with Ameriprise Financial. When not working, he enjoys playing tennis and golf and, of course, volunteering on the Fairhaven Association Board. Together they have one son Brady who lives and works in Seattle.

Kelly Evert

I'm a 1993 graduate of Western Washington University and one of the co-owners of Village Books and Paper Dreams in Bellingham and in Lynden. I have an awesome daughter, Madeline, who is a graduate of Sehome High - class of 2016. If I'm not at the store, you will find me either on a bike on Galbraith, on a hiking trail, or playing music with the Skagit Symphony. I adore Fairhaven and want the best for our village and those that work and live here.

Executive Director

Kimberly Anderson

With a background in hospitality, community-focused leadership, and systems development, Kimberly brings a kind, collaborative approach to her work and a deep love for Fairhaven. As a Fairhaven resident, she’s passionate about preserving the neighborhood’s unique character while helping the Association grow in ways that are thoughtful, inclusive, and imaginative. She looks forward to deepening community connections, supporting local businesses, and helping steward a vibrant future for the place we call home.

When she’s not at work, you can often find Kimberly puttering in her garden, tackling home projects, walking the trails, or enjoying a quiet moment with a good cup of coffee. She's excited to connect with neighbors and local business owners alike — and is always up for a good conversation about Fairhaven’s past, present, and future.
